BOSTON (December 19, 2017) – Rasky Partners today announced two additions and three promotions within its senior management, public relations and public affairs teams. Ron Walker, a senior advisor and firm Advisory Board member has been appointed Chief Operator Officer, P.J. O’Sullivan has joined the firm as a Strategic Advisor, and Michael Morris, Kristen Cullen and Meghan Post were elevated  in the public affairs and public relations practices.

Walker, who joined Rasky Partners as a Strategic Advisor earlier this year, will oversee day-to-day operations as Chief Operating Officer while remaining a member of the firm’s Advisory Board. He will work closely with Rasky’s managing directors and other senior leaders to direct the firm’s business growth strategy and operations, a role he played as president of Next Street Financial LLC, the company he founded, which provides capital and strategic advice to growing businesses. Walker comes to Rasky following his tenure as Massachusetts Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development under Governor Charlie Baker. Walker will help bolster the firm’s client portfolio in financial services and workforce development.

“We are thrilled to have Ron expand his role at Rasky Partners by stepping into the role of Chief Operating Officer,” said Larry Rasky, CEO and chairman of Rasky Partners. “His extensive leadership experience in the business community coupled with his background with our firm makes him uniquely qualified to lead Rasky’s day-to-day operations and strategic growth initiatives.”

O’Sullivan comes to Rasky Partners after serving for six years as president of the Delahunt Group, a Boston-based public policy and government affairs firm that merged with O’Sullivan & Associates, the public affairs firm that he founded in 1998. As a Senior Advisor, O’Sullivan will play a lead role in new business development for Rasky’s public affairs and federal government relations practices. He will also assist in servicing a broad range of Rasky’s public affairs clients. O’Sullivan has worked and consulted for dozens of campaigns on the national, state and local levels, including serving as the Election Day manager for the State of Maine for the Kerry for President Campaign in 2004 and as a consultant on Tim Murray’s successful 2006 and 2010 campaigns for Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor.

Morris has been promoted to Senior Vice President in the public affairs practice, where he will assist with new business development activities and client service and will continue to expand the firm’s growing cyber security practice. An attorney who previously founded his own private law firm and business consultancy, Morris will continue to serve as General Counsel at Rasky Partners.

Cullen was elevated to Vice President of Rasky’s public affairs group. In her role, she will focus on new business opportunities in Boston and throughout the Commonwealth. Cullen will also remain heavily involved in developing strategic communications and government relations strategies for clients across a host of industries.

“Our public affairs practice has never been stronger with the addition of P.J. and the promotions of Michael and Kristen to more senior roles,” said Rasky. “P.J. is a seasoned veteran in this industry and will be a huge asset for us in both business development and client service. Michael has made a significant impact on our new business activities and by building our cyber security practice after joining us earlier this year, while Kristen’s communications and government relations experience have been instrumental in our clients’ success over the last five years. All three will be key members of our government relations team as we get set for an important ballot year in 2018.”

After first joining Rasky Partners in 2012 in an administrative position, Post moves into her role as Senior Account Executive in the firm’s nonprofit, education and consumer practice after a two-year tenure as an Account Executive in the group. She will continue playing a vital client service role for the group’s wide-ranging accounts which include hospitals, museums, foundations, colleges and universities and diverse nonprofit organizations.

“Meghan has been with us for more than five years now and it has been a pleasure to watch her grow both personally and professionally,” said Rasky. “Meghan has been invaluable to our nonprofit, education and consumer practice and never fails to uphold the highest standard of client service we pride ourselves on here at Rasky.”
