Overview

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester is a leading youth development organization committed to providing children across Boston with safe, enriching spaces to learn, grow, and build healthy futures. In partnership with the Martin Richard Foundation, the organization is spearheading FieldHouse+, a transformative 75,000-square-foot athletic, recreational, and educational facility designed to expand opportunities for young people of all ages and abilities. FieldHouse+ will offer indoor turf, arts and music spaces, courts and fitness facilities, a teaching kitchen, a theatre, and access for nearby Boston Public School students — creating a modern, inclusive resource for thousands of children each year.

Our work

Working with our firm, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester advanced a targeted advocacy strategy to secure city, state and federal investment in this generational project. We collaborated with organizational leaders to align the project with the Congressional delegation and the Healey Administration’s priorities, communicate its broad community impact, and build support among key legislators, local officials, and philanthropic partners.

Results

Through this coordinated effort, the state committed $12 million in capital funding and the Congressional delegation secured $2.5 million, critical investments that helped unlock additional private resources to move the project toward completion.
