Our Founder’s Story
Rasky Partners, Inc. was built by a titan of the political and public relations world.
It started in 1989 when Larry Rasky concluded his term as press secretary for then Senator Joseph Biden’s 1988 presidential bid. Having already cemented his reputation as a political mover and shaker and consigliere to major political figures such as Congressman Ed Markey, Sen. John Kerry and President Jimmy Carter, Larry moved to the private sector forming the Rasky Group. The then-small Boston-based communications shop would eventually become Rasky Partners, Inc. – one of the leading independent public relations and public affairs firms in the nation. Its roots were seeded in the Boston political and communications world as Larry was well-known for his political acumen, his media savvy, and his ability to solve problems. A handful of clients soon grew to an impressive roster of big-name corporations and organizations spanning countless industries.
In 1997 Larry joined forces with business partners Ann Carter and Joe Baerlein to enhance the firm’s service offerings to include public affairs, and established the firm as Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications. The firm’s mission was to help clients who find themselves at the intersection of business, media, and politics. That mission – which continues today – and Larry’s leadership led Rasky Baerlein to great success and growth. Eventually; Larry took sole leadership and continued to build the firm as it stands today as Rasky Partners, Inc.
A proud Democrat with a deep commitment to improving the well-being of his city, state and country, he took a leave from the firm to once again join the “Biden for President” campaign as its communications director in 2007. And he was working as a national fundraiser for his friend Joe Biden’s 2020 campaign for president up to the day he died.
For more than 30 years the company he founded has advised and been sought after by elected and government officials, titans of industry, Fortune 500 companies, start-ups, non-profits, trade associations, sports teams and many more.
Larry was an industry giant and his legacy continues as the torch is passed to the next generation of leadership at Rasky Partners, Inc.
