Feb. 8, 2017 (BOSTON) – Today, Rasky Baerlein Strategic Communications, Inc. announced it will be operating the company under a new name, Rasky Partners. The name change of the company, a leading US public relations firm for over two decades, comes after the departure of two of its partners, Joe Baerlein and Ann Carter. The firm, founded by Larry Rasky in 1989 as Rasky & Company, will continue to operate seamlessly in Boston and Washington with all of its management team and employees remaining with the firm.
“The name of the firm will be changed to Rasky Partners, Inc., to reflect the partnership we have built with our clients, our professional contacts and with the many civic and community leaders with whom we are privileged to work,” said Rasky. In addition, current partners George Cronin and Justine Griffin will remain as Managing Directors with Mr. Cronin continuing to run the Public Affairs side of the firm and Ms. Griffin running the Communications side of the business. Senior Vice President David Tamasi will be elevated to Managing Director in charge of the firm’s expanding practice in Washington, D.C.
Senior Vice President Sandi Goldfarb will continue running the firm’s Non-Profit and Education P.R. Practices and Senior Vice President Mark Horan will continue overseeing the firm’s Telecommunications, Technology, Energy and Financial Services business lines. In addition, Mr. Horan and Anne Tyrrell, SVP in the firm’s D.C. office, will continue to work with Ms. Griffin overseeing the firm’s core practice in Litigation Support, Reputation Management and Crisis Communications. SVP’s Bethany Bassett and Graham Shalgian in Washington and Jeff Terrey in Boston will continue their leadership roles in the firm’s public affairs and government relations practice. Rasky Partners maintains approximately fifty (50) professional staff between its two offices.
“Joe Baerlein and Ann Carter have been integral parts of the success and prominence that we enjoy today and I am confident we will continue to work together as they pursue their own endeavors. As for the rest of us, we look forward to continuing to build on our strong platform and grow with our clients as we always have,” said CEO Larry Rasky. “The senior management team and all of our account teams will remain in place. I firmly believe we have the best people in the business.”
The company, with offices in Boston and Washington D.C., specializes in working with clients who find themselves at the intersection of business, government and the media. The firm’s offices will continue to be headquartered at 70 Franklin St. in Boston and will move to its new, larger office location at 555 11th Street, NW in Washington, D.C. in early March.
