Overview

CFS is a Cambridge, Mass., startup, that was spun out of MIT and is collaborating with MIT’s Plasma Science and Fusion Center to leverage decades of fusion research and combine it with the innovation and speed of the private sector. CFS will build and operate what will be the first commercially viable fusion-powered reactor, producing electricity from the same reaction that powers the sun.

Our Work

CFS is supported by the world’s leading investors in breakthrough energy technologies and is uniquely positioned to win the race to reach commercialization of fusion energy. If successful, CFS will pave the way for clean, limitless energy. However, CFS has faced resistance from media due to both its scientific complexity and in its case a perhaps understandable skepticism about whether fusion can be successfully accomplished in the near-term. Though CFS is still in its infancy, Rasky Partners has been working with the company’s leadership on key initiatives, scoring major coverage of its evolution in The New York Times, New Yorker, Boston Globe, CNBC and other major media outlets.
