Christopher is a strategic counselor to the firm, specializing in taking complex financial issues and finding ways to communicate them in clear and simple terms to the public, the media, and policymakers. He has significant experience with client engagements involving major financial market, banking, and investment firms.
Smith was Chief of Staff to U.S. Treasury Secretary John W. Snow, and served as counselor to the Treasury Secretary. Previously he was Chief of Staff for the House Ways and Means Committee, working on complex legislation in the areas of trade, tax, health, and retirement security.
Smith received a Master of Public Administration degree from the George Washington University and the program’s Distinguished Alumni Award, and is a member of its Advisory Board. Smith received a bachelor’s degree in economics from Dickinson College.
